Piano duo Isabelle van Dooren & Henning Schmidt

Since 2018 this refreshing piano duo has existed since 2018 and we are looking for exciting programs. For example, we combine a beautiful quatre-mains repertoire with dance. In particular  we focus on music from the  20th and 21st century.

We regularly give concerts in Germany and in the Netherlands.

Isabelle van Dooren was born in Eindhoven in 1981 and received her first piano lesson at the age of eight. She took lessons for ten years with the Flemish composer and pianist Stefan Meylaers. She then studied at the Utrecht Conservatory with Alan Weiss. From 2004 she specialized with Daniele Lombardi at the Conservatorio di Giuseppe Verdi in Milan.

She followed masterclasses with Boris Berman, Jeroen van Veen, Jun Kanno, Cecile Edel-Latos, Diane Andersen, Johan Schmidt, James Lisney, Simon Nicholls and Manuela Goveia.

She followed masterclasses in chamber music with, among others, David Fruehwirth.
